ABOUT
Andrew Stewart was born and raised in Scotland.
After relocating to the USA, Andrew began his professional career working in advertising, marketing and product development as an analyst and manager in a private firm generating yearly revenues of over a billion dollars. For the last 25 years he has worked in the not-for-profit sector as a director.
Stewart led the marketing and communications efforts for the Barnes Foundation, a world-renowned art museum and educational institution from 2000-2014.
Between 2014 and 2022 Andrew was the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art, an organization of over 100 staff with a dual mission as a land conservation trust and art museum that preserves and presents elements of nature and American art, highlighting the beauty and history of the Brandywine Valley in Pennsylvania.
Andrew left the Brandywine in early 2022 and has since traveled extensively in Europe, the Middle East, South and North America, spending the last two summers back in his home in Scotland. He is starting a new year-long project in the Sharr Mountain National Park in October working with Kosovo authorities, under the auspices of the US government’s Peace Corps Response, to research and write a plan to develop sustainable tourism in the region.
